"To say that I loved this story is putting it mildly. It has serious Jackie Collins vibes in all the best ways. No subject is taboo, from drug addiction, to the dynamics of various relationships, the music industry, to sex. It covers it all.

Santiago is the protagonist struggling with the unexpected loss of his Mother, whom he adored deeply. Blaming himself, he starts down a path of self destruction to escape his pain. His character is raw and vulnerable. You will root for him and live through his pain. Trust me, he doesn't always make all the right decisions but that is what makes him so real and likable.

The story centers around Santiago's desire to write a song titled Bird of Paradise in honor of his Mother. In doing so he forms a relationship with Kitty and dives deep into the underbelly of music industry. Deeply absorbed in their relationship, the words fly off the pages leaving you wanting more.

Michelle has  mastered the art of taking the reader on a journey. The dialogue between the characters the book takes you on an adventure, while the storyline pulls you in and doesn't let go making this book incredibly binge worthy.

Congratulations on a stellar debut that deserves to shoot right to the top of your TBR stack.  Trust me when I say you don't want to miss this one.
